Aurora Integrative Health is excited to introduce the PiezoWave2 and Myofascial Acoustic Compression Therapy (MyACT) with the ability to pinpoint the pain and treat it at the source.
Targeted, Non-invasive pain relief
The use of Myofascial Acoustic Compression Therapy is a widely used, non-invasive modality for the treatment of acute and chronic pain conditions that involve the muscles, tendons and ligaments.
What makes this modality unique is the ability of acoustic waves to target tissue at varying depths. The acoustic waves produced by the MyACT modality compress and manipulate the tissue resulting in a focused, pin-point deep tissue massage.
MyACT treatment can lead to increased circulation and pain relief by means of mechanotransduction. Increased circulation and pain relief are vital in the healing process.
Benefits of Treatment
Focusing in on your pain
The PiezoWave2 generates acoustic waves that pass painlessly through the body to converge at a point deep within the soft tissue. The acoustic waves produced by the PiezoWave2 compress and manipulate the tissue at varying depths to provide a focused and precise deep tissue massage. MyACT produces a mechanical stumuli that can lead to increased and improved circulation as well as pain relief.
Patient guided pain relief
In many cases the source of the pain you are feeling is due to something called referred pain. This means the pain is radiating from a distant area from where you are actually feeling the pain. Finding the sources of referred pain can enhance other treatments and provide the patient with long-lasting results.
Using the PiezoWave2 we can accurately diagnose sources of referred pain and accompanying trigger points. Defining the origins of pain is ultimately guided by the patient via verbal feedback to the healthcare professional that provides the treatment.
How long does treatment take?
Are there known side effects of MyACT treatment?
There are limited side effects associated with treatment. Side effects associated with treatment are reddened skin and/or minor soreness near the treatment site.
